The game unfolds in a Kyoto overrun by Malic, an evil force summoning hellish creatures into Japan. This marks the first new Onimusha title in two decades. To bridge the gap and build anticipation, Capcom also announced a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, launching May 23, 2025.
