Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta after a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage rendered the previous test unplayable. The PSN outage, which occurred on Friday, February 7th at 3 PM PT, lasted approximately 24 hours. Sony attributed the disruption to an “operational issue” and compensated PlayStation Plus members with five extra days of service.
This outage unfortunately impacted online gameplay, including the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds beta, which was scheduled from Thursday, February 6th to Sunday, February 9th. In response to the disruption, Capcom has extended the next beta session by 24 hours.
The new beta dates are:
February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT
Capcom confirmed that players will still receive the participation bonuses offered in the full game during this extended period.
Despite the previous week's downtime, beta participants experienced the game's challenges, including battling the formidable new foe, Arkveld.
