Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online regarding the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
This led to a wave of online attacks against the developers, with attempts to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and dissuade players from supporting Warhorse Studios.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's achievement of gold status in early December. These codes are anticipated to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on portions of the review build, are expected to be available just a week later.
