Leaked 2005 James Bond audition tapes surface online, showcasing Henry Cavill's impressive performance before Daniel Craig secured the role.

Games Radar reports the discovery of these tapes on the Ron South YouTube channel, maintained by an enthusiastic filmmaker. The collection includes auditions from Cavill, Sam Worthington, Rupert Friend, and Anthony Starr.

Cavill's audition has garnered significant attention, with many, including Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, praising his performance as "tremendous." Campbell reportedly favored Cavill, but ultimately, other executives chose Craig.

Cavill later fulfilled his spy aspirations in the film Argylle, starring alongside a renowned cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, and Catherine O’Hara. Despite the star-studded ensemble, the film received poor critical reception, scoring a mere 4/10 in IGN's review.

Cavill's career remains diverse and successful, encompassing iconic roles such as Superman for DC, Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's The Witcher, and numerous other prominent parts.
