Insomniac Games founder and outgoing president Ted Price recently shared insights into a project that never came to fruition—Resistance 4. In an interview with Kinda Funny Games, Price revealed that the team at Insomniac had pitched the game, describing it as a "wonderful concept." However, due to timing and market opportunities, it didn't receive the green light.

Price expressed the team's passion for expanding the Resistance universe, noting that the series had established a fascinating alternate history backdrop. The Resistance franchise, known for its first-person shooter gameplay, was set in an alternate reality where aliens invaded the UK in 1951. The series, which began after Insomniac's work on Ratchet and Clank, saw three releases on the PlayStation 3 before the studio shifted focus to other projects, including Marvel's Spider-Man and new Ratchet and Clank titles.

As Price prepares to retire after over 30 years with Insomniac, he has announced Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang as the new Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's latest release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, has just been made available on PC, and their upcoming project is Marvel's Wolverine.
