Unexpected news for Goat Simulator fans: a card game is on the horizon! Prepare for goat-fueled mayhem in a tabletop format. Launching later this year, this isn't your average card game.
Coffee Stain North, the creators of Goat Simulator, are collaborating with MOOD Publishing (known for Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game) to bring this chaotic experience to life.
What We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game
Details are scarce, but we know it's a physical card game supporting 2-6 players. Expect the same brand of absurdity that defined the video game series, now packaged in a card game. The game will launch on Kickstarter later this year. As Creative Director Santiago Ferrero jokingly put it, "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead!"
From April Fool's Joke to a Genre?
What began as an April Fool's Day prank in 2014 has evolved into a surprising franchise. Goat Simulator has spanned numerous platforms, including PCs, consoles, and mobile devices. Now, with Goat Simulator 3 continuing the legacy, a card game adds another dimension to the goat-sim experience.
In the meantime, you can find the existing Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our next article covering the Solo Leveling: Arise update.
