More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed

Bethesda and id Software showcased a new demo of DOOM: The Dark Ages during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks: the hellish shooter arrives May 15th.

Transporting players to the medieval era, The Dark Ages boasts a gameplay experience distinct from DOOM: Eternal. Forget the constant leaping and parkour; this iteration emphasizes a more grounded, brutal approach. Players will embody a devastating killing machine, a true tank, utilizing a powerful arsenal to obliterate demons.

Central to this demon-slaying arsenal are a shield and mace, offering a new tactical dimension. For the first time in the DOOM franchise, players will command a giant mech to engage smaller demons, adding a strategic layer to combat. Furthermore, the campaign will feature the exhilarating experience of dragon riding.

A flexible difficulty system allows players to tailor the challenge to their preferences, adjusting enemy damage, and other parameters for a personalized experience.
