Fortnite Unveils Popularly Demanded Feature

Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 update introduces a highly anticipated feature: using Fortnite Festival instruments as pickaxes and back blings! This addition, accessible via a new "instruments" option in the locker, has been met with enthusiastic player response.

Beyond the instrument additions, the update boasts new cosmetics from the Godzilla collaboration, including outfits and accessories. This builds on December 2024's additions of Ballistic, LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life, and Fortnite OG modes.

Fortnite Festival itself continues to expand, offering a unique gameplay experience likened to Guitar Hero, with licensed music and instrument cosmetics available in the Item Shop. Recent additions include local co-op and collaborations with renowned artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga.

The ability to equip instruments as both pickaxes and back blings is a surprising and welcome addition to the battle royale mode. Instruments seamlessly transition between roles; disappearing when used as a pickaxe and reappearing upon item selection.
