In Obsidian's latest RPG, *Avowed*, the Living Lands might feel expansive, but the main quest is actually on the shorter side. If you're eager for more adventures after rolling the credits, here's what you can expect post-game.
For avid RPG players and completionists, the allure of replaying a game with a New Game Plus mode—revisiting the main quest with enhanced skills and gear on a higher difficulty—is irresistible. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not offer a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, given the community's vocal requests for this feature, there's a strong possibility that Obsidian might introduce it through a future update or DLC.
Even without New Game Plus, replaying *Avowed* can still be rewarding. The game's rich narrative is shaped by numerous player choices that affect both the story and gameplay. Starting a fresh save to explore different endings and experiment with varied character builds can offer a new perspective on the game's world.
While the game's concluding areas are challenging and engaging, they don't extend to the previously explored regions, nor do they unlock new ones. Regrettably, after completing *Avowed*, you won't see how your choices have transformed the Living Lands, which might leave you wanting more.

Without New Game Plus and lacking substantial endgame content, *Avowed's* post-game experience might feel a bit underwhelming. Once you conquer the final encounter, you'll be treated to animatic cutscenes that reveal the ramifications of your decisions on the game's world and characters. After these scenes, you'll return to the Main Menu.
From the Main Menu, you have the option to embark on a new journey with a different Envoy or reload to an earlier save point. Autosaves are available just before the point of no return and before the final encounter, allowing you to replay these segments with alternative choices, leading to different story outcomes and endings.
By reloading to before the point of no return, you can revisit previous regions. This is your chance to clear the map, achieve accomplishments, finish any lingering side quests, and collect items you might have missed. With your upgraded gear, revisiting early areas like Dawnshore can be particularly enjoyable and rewarding.
And that's what awaits you after you beat *Avowed*.
*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
