Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features

Sony's State of Play in February 2025 revealed a remastered edition of Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, launching on PlayStation 5. This enhanced version boasts significant upgrades, including new game modes and improved visuals.

Key additions include a challenging permadeath mode, a speedrun mode for competitive players, and a greatly enhanced photo mode. Accessibility options have also been expanded. A standout feature is Horde Assault, a new arcade mode pitting Deacon St. John against even larger hordes of Freakers than previously encountered. The game will also support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and the PS5 Pro.

Days Gone Remastered arrives on April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. A launch trailer is available below.

This release continues Sony's initiative to bring popular PS4 titles to the PS5 with added features. It joins other upgraded games like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

PC players aren't left out. The $10 Broken Roads DLC will bring the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and accessibility features to the PC version.

A PlayStation.Blog post detailed further improvements. Days Gone Remastered is optimized for PS5, offering Performance and Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience superior visuals and audio. DualSense controller features, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, are fully utilized.
