Aspyr is finally catching up Android users with the rest of the Civilization VI community. On June 12th, Sid Meier's Civilization VI for Android will roll out a substantial update, introducing previously missing features, maps, and content to match the experience on other platforms. The update will also make two major expansions available for purchase on Android for the first time.
To start, the update adds three new units. Trebuchets now bridge the gap between Catapults and Bombards, Men-at-Arms bolster your melee forces during the Medieval era, and Line Infantry smooth the transition from Musketmen to late-game Infantry. These new units address progression gaps and provide improved tactical choices throughout the game.
You’ll also gain access to four new maps, including a large-scale Mediterranean region and an expansive Earth map, each with variants that position your civilization in its historical capital. For players who enjoy alternative rules, the Tech and Civic Shuffle and Barbarian Clans modes are also coming to Android. These modes add a welcome layer of unpredictability to your games.

The update also brings highly requested features like the Natural Wonder and City-State Pickers, allowing you to customize world generation, alongside the Leader Selection Pool and the new leader Julius Caesar. Additionally, over 50 bugs will be resolved, and multiplayer performance will see a significant improvement.
