Calico Nerfed, Sinclair Reworked: Deadlock Update

Valve has rolled out another surprise update for Deadlock, this time a smaller patch focusing on adjustments to four heroes. Calico suffered significant nerfs: her Return to Shadows ability received a ten-second cooldown increase, with 20% of its speed shifted to Tier 2. The damage output of her Tier 2 Leaping Slash was also reduced.

Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex ability has been reworked into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also saw nerfs in this update.

Item adjustments include a reduction in stacks for Ammo Scavenger, removing its health bonus. Additionally, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer boost fire rate and weapon damage, respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first in February. Reflecting a shift in development strategy, Valve is now releasing updates on an as-needed basis, rather than adhering to a fixed schedule. This latest patch is a prime example of this more flexible approach.
