Two Pokémon from the Galar region are making their exciting debut in Pokémon Go this month, offering players a blend of sweetness and ferocity. During the Sweet Discoveries event, running from April 24th to 29th, you'll have the chance to encounter the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin for the first time. Evolving Applin into either Flapple or Appletun will require 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples—Tart Apples for Flapple and Sweet Apples for Appletun. You can find these apples in the wild, particularly around Mossy Lures, which may also trigger Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, keep an eye out for wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. You can further your collection through Field Research and Eggs, which may yield Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, available in both free and paid versions, offers opportunities to obtain Sweet and Tart Apples. Opting for the paid version will also grant you additional Mossy Lure Modules and more chances to encounter Applin.
Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the in-game shop, and make sure to participate in PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. If you're drawn to more intense battles, mark your calendar for the weekend of April 26th–27th, when the Max Battle Weekend featuring the debut of Dynamax Entei takes place. You might even encounter a Shiny Entei if luck is on your side.
Prepare for these events by redeeming Pokémon Go codes to boost your resources!
The events come with enticing bonuses, including an increased Max Particle cap, reduced adventuring distance for collecting them, and enhanced Power Spot refresh rates. You'll also earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot you visit. Starting April 21st, a free Timed Research will be available, and completing it will reward you with a Dynamax Sobble, perfect for balancing your team against Entei's fiery might.
Get ready for both events by stocking up on supplies at the Pokémon Go Web Store.
