Apex Legends ALGS Year 4 Championships Head to Sapporo, Japan!

Get ready Apex Legends fans! The ALGS Year 4 Championships are coming to Sapporo, Japan, marking a significant milestone for the competitive scene. This will be the first offline ALGS tournament held in Asia, a testament to the game's growing popularity in the region.

The event will take place at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME from January 29th to February 2nd, 2025, featuring 40 top teams vying for the championship title. Previous ALGS tournaments have been held in the US, UK, Sweden, and Germany.

EA's announcement highlighted the strong Japanese Apex Legends community and the significant demand for an offline event in the country. John Nelson, EA's senior director of Esports, expressed excitement about bringing the tournament to the iconic Daiwa House Premist Dome.

Apex Legends First ALGS in Asia Goes to Japan

Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto welcomed the event, promising the city's full support. Further details regarding the tournament and ticket sales will be released at a later date.

Before the main event, the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will run from September 13th to 15th, 2024. This crucial qualifier provides teams with a final shot at securing their place in the Championships. Fans can follow the LCQ on the official @PlayApex Twitch channel to see which teams make the cut.
