Call Break: A Thrilling Card Game Experience
Call Break, a captivating trick-taking card game, enjoys widespread popularity, particularly in India and Nepal. This strategic game uses a standard 52-card deck and involves four players, each receiving 13 cards. Its relatively straightforward rules make it easy to learn, yet its strategic depth ensures engaging gameplay.
Gameplay unfolds over seven rounds, each comprising 13 tricks. Players must follow suit; however, spades serve as the trump suit. The player accumulating the most tricks after five rounds emerges victorious. The game challenges players to accurately predict their trick-taking potential through bidding, compete against skilled opponents, and master the art of strategic card play.
Key Rules:
- Bidding: Each player begins by bidding (the number of tricks they anticipate winning). The minimum bid is one.
- Card Play: Players must play a higher card than the previously played card of the same suit, if possible.
- Hand Winner: The winner of a hand is determined as follows:
- Without a trump card played: The player with the highest card of the led suit wins.
- With a trump card played: The player with the highest trump card wins.
